Job summary

Kenvue is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor in Lititz, PA. Fully onsite, you will lead frontline maintenance teams, drive equipment reliability, and oversee programs across manufacturing, utilities, and facilities.

You will implement preventive and predictive maintenance, analyze failures, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve safety, productivity, and quality on a global brand portfolio.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
  • 6–8 years in maintenance, reliability engineering, or leadership roles in manufacturing.
  • 3+ years supervising maintenance technicians or technical teams.
  • Experience with automated manufacturing equipment and industrial utility systems.
  • Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance methodologies.
  • Experience with PLC-based manufacturing systems and industrial controls.
  • Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and service contracts.
  • Familiar with OSHA safety regulations and maintenance compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide frontline leadership to maintenance operations and drive reliability improvements.
  • Supervise technicians, contractors, and support personnel with coaching and guidance.
  • Plan and schedule maintenance via CMMS; maintain asset records and spare parts inventories.
  • Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs.
  • Lead shutdowns, commissioning, and qualification activities.
  • Perform root cause analysis to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Use MTBF, MTTR, OEE and cost metrics to optimize maintenance strategies.
  • Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and Supply Chain to improve safety and quality.
  • Support capital projects from development through startup and commissioning.
  • Manage budgets, vendor performance, and cost-saving opportunities.

What You Will Do

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for providing frontline leadership to maintenance operations while driving equipment reliability, asset performance, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing, utilities, and facility systems. This role supervises maintenance personnel, manages maintenance programs, and applies engineering principles to improve equipment safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire maintenance teams to proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve equipment issues, ensuring safe operations, maximizing equipment uptime, and supporting production commitments.
  • Supervise maintenance technicians, contractors, and support personnel by assigning work priorities, providing coaching and technical guidance, and fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous learning.
  • Oversee maintenance planning and scheduling activities through the CMMS, ensuring work orders, preventive maintenance programs, asset records, and spare parts inventories are accurately maintained.
  • Develop and implement strategic maintenance and reliability programs utilizing preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance methodologies to improve asset performance and reduce downtime.
  • Lead and coordinate shutdown activities and support commissioning, and qualification activities by providing required supervision and coverage.
  • Analyze equipment failures and operational losses using Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and reliability‑centered maintenance principles to eliminate recurring issues.
  • Utilize data‑driven insights and maintenance performance metrics, including MTBF, MTTR, OEE, schedule compliance, and maintenance costs, to optimize maintenance strategies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead troubleshooting and technical problem‑solving efforts involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, automation, and PLC‑controlled manufacturing systems.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and Supply Chain teams to drive cross‑functional initiatives that improve safety, reliability, productivity, and product quality.
  • Support capital projects, equipment installations, facility upgrades, and new technology implementation by providing engineering leadership from project development through startup and commissioning.
  • Manage maintenance budgets, monitor departmental spending, evaluate vendor performance, and identify cost‑saving opportunities while maintaining compliance and operational effectiveness.
  • Drive sustainability and energy‑management initiatives by identifying opportunities to reduce resource consumption and improve equipment efficiency.
  • Champion and enforce rigorous safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, machine guarding, electrical safety, and contractor safety programs to promote a zero‑incident workplace.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Operational Excellence, and reliability best practices to enhance manufacturing performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Engineering Technology, Industrial Management, Facilities Management, or equivalent experience.
  • 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in maintenance, reliability engineering, or maintenance leadership roles within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Minimum 3 years of leadership experience supervising maintenance technicians, contractors, or technical teams.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment and industrial utility systems.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance methodologies.
  • Experience performing equipment failure analysis, root cause investigations, and implementing sustainable corrective actions.
  • Working knowledge of PLC‑based manufacturing systems, industrial controls, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical equipment.
  • Experience managing maintenance budgets, capital expenditures, vendor relationships, and service contracts.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, industrial safety requirements, and maintenance compliance programs.
  • Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and maintenance performance reporting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, project management, and problem‑solving skills.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience within consumer products, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, packaging, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE), Lean Six Sigma, or Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Experience supervising in a union environment.
  • Proficiency with CMMS platforms such as SAP PM, Maximo, or similar enterprise asset management systems.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage maintenance and operational data to drive strategic decision‑making.
  • Demonstrated success implementing continuous improvement initiatives that improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize maintenance costs.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and operational performance.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Ability to climb ladders, work in elevated locations, and inspect equipment.
  • Exposure to industrial environments and variable conditions.
  • Ability to use appropriate PPE and follow all safety procedures.
What’s In It For You

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges: $110,500.00 - $156,000.00
