Job summary

Gates Corporation, located at the Poplar Bluff plant in Missouri, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate daily department schedules and work with the engineering team on project installations. The role directs the maintenance department to achieve excellence goals.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of manufacturing maintenance experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage people, production, and related maintenance functions. MS Word/Excel proficiency required.

Qualifications

• Associate/Technical Degree preferred.
• Minium 2-4 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing required.
• Management and decision-making experience required.
• Ability to manage people, production, inventory, scheduling, and all related maintenance functions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate the maintenance team’s work schedules.
• Supervise a variety of support staff personnel.
• Ensure proper training levels through effective selection, interviewing, and training of staff.
• Maintain accurate reporting.
• Interpret and evaluate information, applying judgment to set team priorities, interpret policies, and establish effective approaches.

What to Expect

The Maintenance Supervisor will be in charge of coordinating daily department schedules, working together closely with the engineering team on project installations, and directing the maintenance department to achieve maintenance excellence goals.

Key Responsibilities (to name a few)

• Plan, direct, and coordinate the maintenance team’s work schedules.
• Supervise a variety of support staff personnel.
• Ensure proper training levels through effective selection, interviewing, and training of staff.
• Maintain accurate reporting.
• Interpret and evaluate information, applying judgment to set team priorities, interpret policies, and establish effective approaches.
• Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment

Supervisory Responsibilities

• 3+ direct reportsof technicians and/or production staff
• Has formal supervisory responsibilities; sets priorities for and coaches associates to meet deadlines
• Has performance management and people development responsibility for associates under their care

About You

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Associate/Technical Degree preferred
• Minium 2-4 years of maintenance experience in the manufacturing field required
• Management and decision-making experience required
• Ability to manage people, production, inventory, scheduling, and all related maintenance functions required
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

• Full-Time
• Relocation is not provided

• Eligible for 3 weeks of paid vacation + 11 holidays (9 scheduled & 2 floating) + 8 sick days. All vacation days are accrued
