Job description

Responsible to the production, plans & control Supervisor for the shop section located under the maintenance department.

Critical Job Functions :

  • Assists Operations and Maintenance team in planning and coordinating area workload to optimize use of resources to include personnel, equipment, tools, and facilities.
  • Communicate and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment on site utilizing Regional Maintenance Manager as a resource.
  • Ensures out of service percentage compliant
  • Ensures PM / DOT compliance
  • Provides management direction and oversight to include overseeing day to day maintenance operations. This may include but is not limited to storage, inventories, and preparation of all supporting documentation.
  • Works with and in conjunction with other sections to accomplish all required tasking or inventories.
  • Monitors work performance of the employees to ensure they are in compliance.
  • Ensure that all employees are always in compliance with all established Safety Policies and Regulations.
  • Ensures safeguarding of all Company property.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements :

  • Five (5) years of specialized experience in maintenance operations and three (3) years of supervisory.
  • Have served in positions of increasing responsibility encompassing program planning and supervisory experience.
  • High school or equivalent (Required)
  • Vehicle & Engine Maintenance & Repair Occupations : 1 year (Preferred)
  • Diesel Engine Repair : 1 year (Required)
  • Shop Supervisor : 1 year (Required)
  • Maintenance Operations : 1 year (Required)
  • Collaborative work style fostering cooperation and teamwork.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees and management of all levels to include multi-national staff, superiors.
  • Ability to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion.
  • Basic proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
  • High-level organization and planning skills so workflow is managed efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets reports and documents.

Physical Demands and Work Environment :

  • Physical Demands :

Work may require heavy lifting up, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents.

  • Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations.
  • PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
  • Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and company policies.

Work is generally conducted in a shop environment. However, duties may involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.

  • The estimated compensation for this role is $30.00 per hour.
