Job summary

The Arboretum of Winnie in Texas is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead our facility's maintenance operations, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. You will supervise a maintenance team and coordinate with vendors to keep equipment and systems running smoothly.

The role requires hands-on leadership, knowledge of HVAC and critical systems, and the ability to implement preventive maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• Healthcare or long-term care facility maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HVAC, boilers, water systems and emergency systems.
• Ability to implement and manage a preventive maintenance program.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with budgeting and supply management.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance operations: hire, train, and supervise maintenance staff.
• Promote safety by documenting inspections and coordinating drills.
• Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program.
• Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC, boilers, water systems, laundry equipment, and generators.
• Order supplies and manage budget within approved limits.
• Coordinate work by external contractors.
• Ensure facilities and equipment comply with regulations.

We're seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Maintenance Supervisor to join our growing team! In this role, you will lead maintenance operations to ensure the facility remains safe, functional, and compliant. Success in this position requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Your Impact as a Maintenance Supervisor

In this role, you will:

• Lead Maintenance Operations: Hire, train, and supervise maintenance team members

• Promote Safety & Compliance: Conduct and document fire system inspections and coordinate monthly fire drills

• Oversee Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement a preventive maintenance program

• Maintain Equipment: Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, boilers, water systems, laundry equipment, and generators

• Manage Supplies & Budget: Order maintenance supplies and equipment while adhering to budget guidelines

• Supervise Contractors: Oversee and coordinate work by external contractors

• Maintain Standards: Ensure the facility and its equipment are safe, operational, and compliant with all regulations

• Train Staff: Provide job-specific training and promote adherence to safety procedures

• Coordinate Schedules: Plan department staffing according to census needs and labor budgets
