Job summary

Ardagh Metal Packaging seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead plant maintenance programs and drive key metrics in Fremont, OH. You will supervise a team and coordinate with Operations and Engineering to keep equipment reliable and safe.

The role requires a bachelor's degree (engineering preferred), 3+ years in manufacturing maintenance, supervisory experience, and knowledge of PLC controls, TPM, Six Sigma/Lean, and SAP is a plus. On-site role focused on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering.
• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Experience in high-speed manufacturing and PLC controls.
• Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, and TPM systems.
• Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, or other improvement philosophies.
• SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct hourly employees to plan and manage maintenance programs and business metrics.
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet daily goals.
• Coach and develop employees and resolve issues with guidance from management.
• Read and analyze charts, work orders, maintenance, and production schedules to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure safe operation of all equipment, train employees as necessary, and report safety concerns.
• Provide technical direction for Operations equipment and Engineering performance.
• Develop and implement training plans to increase employee skills and capabilities.
• Involved in maintenance planning: CMMS system.
• Balance safety, quality, productivity, cost, and morale with continuous improvement focus.
• Inspect materials, product, and equipment to detect defects or malfunctions and determine solutions.
• Enforce company procedures and policies.

Job description

The Maintenance Supervisor manages plant maintenance programs and business metrics. The supervisor is responsible for overall facility equipment maintenance, as well as the supervision of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct hourly employees to plan and manage maintenance programs and business metrics.
• Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet daily goals.
• Ensure effective employee relations through coaching and development and resolves employees issues through problem resolution and partner with management for guidance in resolving employee concerns.
• Read and analyze charts, work orders, maintenance, and production schedules to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure safe operation of all equipment, trains employees as necessary, and promptly investigates and reports all safety concerns.
• Provide technical direction for Operations equipment and Engineering performance.
• Develop and/or implement training plans to increase employee skills and capabilities.
• Involved in maintenance planning: CMMS system
• Balances safety, quality, productivity, cost, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas with a focus on continuous improvement in all areas.
• Inspect materials, product, and equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. Determine best problem-solving solution.
• Ensure company procedures and policies are enforced.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree, perferably in Engineering.
• At least three (3) years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Experience in high-speed manufacturing and PLC controls.
• Knowledge of electronics, mechanics, hydraulics, and TPM systems.
• Experience with Six Sigma, Lean, or other improvement philosophies.
• SAP experience preferred.
