Job summary

HIROTEC Manufacturing America in Fayetteville, TN, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor for the 3rd shift to lead the maintenance team in a climate-controlled plant. You will plan schedules, assign tasks, monitor downtime, and ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.

The ideal candidate has an associate degree or technical certificate and 2–4 years in automotive maintenance, with hands-on experience in CAD/CAM tools and asset care systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversees plant maintenance and directs activities within the maintenance department.
• Prepares and coordinates maintenance schedules.

• Analyzes downtime and root causes to implement countermeasures.
• Maintains equipment/asset care and preventative maintenance processes.
• Ensures compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Quotes and prepares cost estimates for projects; manages budget and expenses.
• Monitors spare parts inventory and coordinates with outside contractors.

Maintenance Supervisor - 3rd Shift

HIROTEC Manufacturing America, located in Fayetteville, Tennessee, is part of the HIROTEC Group, headquartered in Hiroshima, Japan. HIROTEC Group delivers body-in-white closures, exhaust systems, flexible closure tooling, and stamping dies to automotive customers around the world. With a US headquarters in Auburn Hills, MI, HIROTEC Group operates 32 facilities in eight countries.

Currently, we are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor - 3rd Shift to become a part of the HIROTEC team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversees plant maintenance and other directives as requested by management
• Directs activities within the maintenance department
• Prepares and coordinates maintenance schedules
• Projects and allocates tasks
• Analyzes staffing requirements and ensure efficient compliance to work schedules and makes necessary adjustments where needed.
• Supports the effective and efficient operation of all plant activities by working with all departments to assure effective teamwork, equipment, and personnel.
• Analyzes downtime and frequent issues to understand root causes and creates/implements countermeasures.
• Administers system for equipment/asset care and Planned Preventative Maintenance processes and procedures
• Ensures compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards, procedures, and instructions
• Quotes and prepares cost estimates for projects and examine cost estimates and proposals
• Approves expenses, manages budget, and follows up on various costs related to the department and operations
• Investigates and recommends purchase of equipment and supplies for maintenance department
• Manages/Monitors spare parts inventory/ordering
• Requests bids and supervises work performed by outside contractors
• Leads, trains, mentors, and evaluates performance of individuals in the maintenance department
• Leads and supports personnel in achieving company goals of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results
• Monitors and continuously improves processes and personnel performance to achieve enhanced levels of efficiency
• Maintains proper documentation and records for expenses, maintenance, safety, etc.
• Reviews work instructions, offers technical guidance, reviews progress, and advises changes when required
• Works with 2D and 3D computer-aided design and manufacturing software such as CAD or CAM
• Participates in and supports Safety, 5S, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing activities
• Educates/trains maintenance staff on performing maintenance and improvement activities of robot operation on production lines
• Other duties and projects may be assigned based on the operational objectives of the company.

Ideal candidate should have associates degree or technical certificate in a related field and two to four years of maintenance experience in automotive manufacturing/production environment; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
