Our Client is Seeking a Maintenance Supervisor and Manufacturing Engineer to lead both equipment maintenance and process improvement efforts on the production floor. This is a hybrid technical leadership role—ideal for a candidate who thrives in a high-mix, fast-paced environment where problem solving, team leadership, and continuous improvement are daily priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, addressing downtime and safety issues while driving adherence to maintenance best practices within established cost parameters.
- Execute and enhance preventative and predictive maintenance programs, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of production equipment and facility systems.
- Champion safety improvements, lead root cause analysis of incidents, and ensure prompt corrective actions are implemented and documented.
- Train production personnel on new processes, product changes, and updated procedures; ensure LOTO protocols and documentation meet all compliance standards.
- Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and quality teams to support new product introductions, implement lean initiatives, and optimize equipment design for manufacturability.
- Lead capital equipment projects, from specification and vendor management to installation and commissioning.
- Support manufacturing launches or engineering changes with expertise in process validation, equipment selection, tooling/fixture development, and operator training.
- Gather and analyze KPI data to identify bottlenecks and implement sustainable improvements.
- Maintain strong working relationships with external vendors, technical contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and equipment upgrades.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
- 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record in both maintenance supervision and process engineering.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated experience in specifying, installing, and commissioning both new and rebuilt production equipment.
- Background in project management, with ability to manage timelines, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
- Strong familiarity with tooling and fixture design, lean manufacturing, and agile product development principles.
- Hands-on experience with controls, PLCs, HMIs, and drive systems—Allen Bradley experience is a plus.
