Job summary

Ruggable is seeking an energetic Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance technicians at our Charlotte plant. You will oversee daily mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance to maximize uptime and safe operation across printing, cutting, finishing, and packaging lines.

Responsibilities include coordinating repairs, supervising a shift, and ensuring OSHA compliance. Strong English/Spanish communication and 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing are essential.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish required for daily operations.
• 2+ years in manufacturing maintenance with supervisory experience.
• Strong electrical (PLCs, motor drives, sensors), mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Lead Floor Operations: manage shift schedules, presence, and daily assignments.
• Conduct daily shift handoff meetings with production supervisors.
• Coordinate repairs, monitor asset performance, and perform RCA with teams.
• Ensure safety compliance with OSHA and related regulations.
• Oversee inventory and vendor coordination for parts and services.
• Resolve problems including performance management and disciplinary actions.

Job Summary:

Ruggable is seeking an energetic, hands-on, and technical Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance technicians and keep our manufacturing and fulfillment operations running smoothly at our Charlotte plant. In this role, you will be directly responsible for the daily execution of mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance, ensuring maximum uptime, equipment safety, and high-efficiency output across all production lines (including large-scale printing, cutting, finishing, and packaging equipment).

What You’ll Do:

• Lead Floor Operations: Manage work shift schedules, floor presence, and daily job assignments to resolve open maintenance work orders promptly.
• Conduct daily shift handoff meetings with production supervisors.
• Maintain & Troubleshoot Equipment: Coordinate equipment and building repairs, monitor equipment and asset performance, and partner with the Maintenance & Safety Manager and Reliability Engineering teams to conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on repeated machine failures.
• Drive Safety Protocols: Evaluate the safety protocols followed at the production facility. Ensure full compliance with state, local, and OSHA safety regulations (LOTO, arc flash, machine guarding, and standard operating procedures).
• Manage Inventory & Vendors: Coordinate spare parts inventory management, submitting purchase requests to ensure required replacement components are in stock. Oversee third-party external contractors, specialized equipment technicians, and facilities service vendors when on site.
• Support Team Performance: Resolve problems and conflict, including employee performance management, appraisals, and disciplinary practices.
  

What You’ll Need to Have:

• Bilingual Fluency: Fluent in both English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• Leadership Experience: Experience leading a team, including resolving problems/conflicts, conducting performance appraisals, and overseeing disciplinary practices.
• Manufacturing Background: 2+ years experience in manufacturing maintenance with supervisory experience.
• Technical & Troubleshooting Expertise: Strong troubleshooting background including electrical (PLCs, motor drives, sensors, standard wiring), mechanical, pneumatics, and hydraulics).
• Systems Knowledge: Solid understanding of warehouse, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with Google Suite or Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Technology or Trade Certification (Journeyman, Millwright, Industrial Maintenance)
• Active OSHA certification (e.g., OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 General Industry).
• Previous experience in the textile manufacturing industry.
• Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for managing inventory and work orders.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout an 8-hour shift in an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs as required during equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
