Job summary

Nestlé Purina in Bloomfield, MO, seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team, oversee daily and preventive tasks, and drive TPM initiatives. The role starts on day shift and moves to an overnight 2/2/3 schedule.

You will coach staff, ensure safety, and coordinate with production and engineering to optimize equipment uptime. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of maintenance in manufacturing and at least 1 year of people leadership, with strong safety training and quality focus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, military or related environment.
• 1+ years of people leadership experience.
• Proven ability to coach, train, and develop teams; manage daily maintenance projects and TPM initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate installation and maintenance of equipment in the most efficient manner.
• Schedule maintenance projects in collaboration with production and engineering departments.
• Ensure that all members of the maintenance department are properly trained in safety procedures and Total Quality Maintenance.
• Provide guidance and coaching, employee scheduling, evaluation and development for team members.
• Confer with Maintenance Manager on establishing and receiving quality assurance standards.
• Recommend strategies for efficient operation of maintenance department, including implementation of projects and budget modifications.

Position Summary

Located in southeast Missouri, Bloomfield is a small town with rich history, and we are proud to call it home to one of our litter factories since 1976. Our factory in Bloomfield was the first to produce Lightweight® litter, a product that weighs half the amount of conventional litter, revolutionizing the pet care industry. An innovative feature of this factory is an overhead bridge that allows full pallets of finished products to be conveyed to a warehouse with an Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS) just north of the factory. This innovation, along with others, played a significant role in Nestlé Purina earning the Malcolm Baldrige Award, the highest level of national recognition for performance excellence that a U.S. organization can receive.

Our factory also works to do our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity, and maintaining zero waste for disposal. In 2020, our Bloomfield factory underwent a 110,000-square-foot expansion in processing and packaging, thanks to a $115 million investment. This expansion allowed Nestlé Purina to meet the growing demand from cat owners. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will manage, lead, and coordinate activities of your team to maximize performance, minimize costs, maintain quality, and endorse safety and operating standards. You will also be responsible for coaching, training and developing your team members and while maintaining daily maintenance projects, preventative maintenance, and repair work. You will also be leading your team to achieve continuous improvement and/ or Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives.

The position will train on the day shift and then move to an off shift. Candidate must be willing to work an overnight shift on a 2/2/3 schedule.

Salary: $84,885.30 to$127,156.00 per year

The pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities as well as geographic location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at top of range.
