Maintenance Supervisor
Baytown, TX

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team at our recycling and sustainability facility. This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all plant equipment, machinery, and infrastructure to ensure continuous and efficient operations aligned with our environmental and sustainability goals.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (Must be available for flexible hours with periodic weekend work and overtime)

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities, including preventive, predictive, and emergency repairs on equipment such as shredders, balers, conveyors, and sorting systems.
  • Plan and schedule routine maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and production interruptions.
  • Lead a team of maintenance technicians, assigning tasks, providing training, and ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, as well as internal sustainability practices.
  • Monitor inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; coordinate procurement as needed.
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to implement improvements and upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and implement solutions promptly.
  • Participate in sustainability initiatives, including energy efficiency and waste reduction projects.
  • Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
  • Completes any other duties assigned

Job Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufracturing facility is preferred.
  • Basic plant electrical knowledge (220-480 volt)
  • Welding experience is a plus
  • Basic computer knowledge is required
  • Must be able to follow OSHA safety standards and be safety conscious at all times
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
  • Stable work history with good references from past employers
  • Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
  • PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
You must be able to:

  • Speak, write, read fluent English. Hear and have good vision.
  • Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required
  • Work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold
  • Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of PPE
  • Lift 60 pounds floor to waist
  • Push and pull 30 pounds horizontally
  • Carry 20 pounds while walking
  • Climb stairs and ladders
  • Stand 8-12 hours per day
  • Extend arms through normal range of motion while standing and squatting
