Maintenance Supervisor – Student Housing Property Management
Essential duties and responsibilities
- All onsite maintenance functions for the student housing apartment community.
- Monitor the physical condition of the property, including vacant units, common areas and amenities.
- Complete all work orders, vacant unit turns, and special projects in a timely manner meeting all deadlines.
- Supervise and assign daily duties to maintenance staff.
- Play a large role in annual turn each year.
- Preventative maintenance and special projects.
- Maintain 24-hour on-call coverage.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the property manager/regional manager.
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in student housing – 2+ years.
- Certifications preferred.
- Experience with A/C, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair as well as unit turns.
- Working knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation skills; effective communicator.
- Ability to read/write in English and to understand directives both orally and in writing.
- Detail oriented and ability to multi-task is required.
- Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
Work hours are scheduled around the requirements of the property and are subject to change as needed. Must be able to work in a highly varied work schedule. Job requirements often include weekend work hours.
