Job summary

AUTOKINITON Belleville Plant 2 seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team, direct on‑site contractors, and ensure reliable operation of plant equipment in a full‑time role reporting to the Engineering Manager.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or 5+ years related experience) and strong safety, quality, and continuous-improvement focus. Competitive wages and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Directs maintenance staff and onsite contractors to meet production goals.
• Implements preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance programs.
• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies for the facility and maintenance group.
• Establishes, monitors, and adjusts work procedures to maximize equipment uptime.
• Oversees shift assignments and training of maintenance personnel.
• Ensures compliance with MIOSHA standards and company procedures.
• Communicates with management to coordinate department activities.
• Performs supervisory functions including salary adjustments, transfers, promotions and dismissals.

• Appropriately directs maintenance associates in performing repairs of building and machinery, prioritizing the tasks accordingly and assists in problem solving when necessary to ensure timely repairs are completed.
• Directs all onsite contractors and ensure adherence to all Autokiniton's policies and procedures.
• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies for the facility and maintenance group.
• Implement and monitor preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance programs.
• Establish, monitor, and adjust work procedures to meet production goals and maximize equipment uptime.
• Implement and manage continuous improvement techniques to increase efficiency of equipment and maintenance personnel.
• Confer with other members of the management team to coordinate activities of individual departments and manpower.
• Performs all duties and operates machinery & equipment according to MIOSHA standards and company procedures using required safety equipment (gloves, sleeves, ear plugs, etc.)
• Able and willing to work any shift assigned, weekends and overtime
• Regular and predictable attendance required
• Assumes other duties as directed by manager

Managerial

• Oversees the assignments, development, scheduling, and performance of all maintenance techs, and facilities associates
• Performs all necessary supervisory functions to effectively and efficiently manage the personnel assigned.
• Ensures proper training of personnel.

• Communicates areas of accountability and performance expected of personnel assigned.
• Determines standards of performance as a basis to review progress of personnel assigned.
• Recommends salary adjustments, transfers, promotions and dismissals.

This Full-Time, salary role is a part of our Autokiniton - Belleville Plant 2 team and reports to the Engineering Manager.
