Job summary

LSB Industries, Inc. in Pryor, OK is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to lead mechanical, instrumentation and electrical maintenance across the Pryor facility.

You will ensure safe, disciplined execution and maintain the weekly schedule using CMMS and Power BI to monitor performance. The role requires an engineering degree or equivalent hands-on experience, 5+ years of plant experience and leadership of cross-functional teams to drive reliability improvements and collaboration with planning,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct management or maintenance planning experience leading cross-functional teams.

• Owns maintenance execution and work completion.
• Protects planned work from unnecessary interruption and adheres to Work Management processes.
• Holds Supervisors accountable for daily resource deployment, field supervision, and schedule progress.
• Ensures field feedback and maintenance history are captured in CMMS and used for improvements.
• Coordinates with Planner/Scheduler and Operations to align resources with the weekly schedule.

Apply now and unlock endless possibilitiesJob SummaryThe Maintenance Superintendent is accountable for the safe, disciplined, and effective execution of maintenance work across the Pryor facility.The position leads the Mechanical and Instrumentation and Electrical maintenance organizations and ensures that approved work is performed according to the established Work Management process. The Superintendent controls daily maintenance execution, protects the committed weekly schedule, manages urgent and break-in work, and ensures that completed work is accurately documented in the CMMS.The Superintendent uses Power BI and other approved performance-management tools to monitor execution, identify process gaps, assign corrective actions, and verify sustainable improvement. The position also maintains a formal interface with Reliability to ensure that field findings, equipment-condition information, repeat failures, and maintenance history are converted into defect-elimination activity and improved maintenance strategies.Responsibilities & DutiesOwns maintenance execution and work completion.Ensures the approved weekly schedule is safely and effectively executed.Establishes and reinforces high expectations for safe and environmentally responsible maintenance execution.Holds Maintenance Supervisors accountable for daily resource deployment, field supervision, schedule progress, work quality, and accurate closeout.Develops supervisors and crafts in disciplined Work Management and precision-maintenance practices.Ensures planners remain focused on future work rather than becoming routine supervisors, parts chasers, or owners of emergency execution.Works with the Planner/Scheduler and Operations to establish realistic resource availability and execution constraints.Protects planned work from unnecessary interruption.Controls urgent, emergency, and break-in work through defined decision and escalation processes.Ensures field feedback and maintenance history are accurately captured in the CMMS.Ensures timely, accurate execution data is available to Power BI.Reviews maintenance performance and assigns corrective actions.Provides formal feedback to Reliability, Planning, Scheduling, Engineering, Operations, and Materials Management.Required Knowledge, Experience, and SkillsBachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field, preferred.Equivalent hands-on experience / technical trade training with 5+ years of practical plant experience.3 or more years of direct management, supervisor, or maintenance planning experience leading cross-functional teams, craft workers, or technicians.Deep familiarity with rotating and fixed equipment (pumps, compressors, reactors, and heat exchangers) as well as electrical and instrumentation systems.Working knowledge of chemical industry safety frameworks like OSHA, EPA, Process Safety Management (PSM), and Hazard Analysis (PHA).Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.Highly organized, with focus on process and time management discipline.Ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines are required.Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills are required.Excellent computer skills and attention to detail is a must.Work Environment and Physical DemandsWillingness to work around dust, chemicals, high pressure, high temperature, loud noise, and operating equipment.Ability to wear required PPE, including flame-resistant clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, safety footwear, and hearing protection.Ability to access field work locations and perform routine job-site observations.Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.Must support the facility during significant equipment events, outages, startups, and other operational needs consistent with the position.Special AttentionThe position is safety and security in nature.This position deals with hazardous materials and/or industrial processes that can pose a risk to employees and the general public.
