Job summary

Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Superintendent to lead maintenance operations at a manufacturing plant. You will report to the Plant Manager, oversee parts inventory, order supplies, and ensure safety standards across equipment and facilities.

The role requires strong leadership, reliability, and a commitment to safety. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, 4 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, and proficiency in electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Computer/Data entry skills are required.
• Four years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant.
• Two years of electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical experience.
• Strong safety culture/awareness is essential.
• Willingness to travel and work nights/weekends as needed.
• Drug screen and background check required prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Report to Plant Manager any information that may impede plant operation.
• Conduct monthly selective inventory and verify against computerized maintenance parts inventory.
• Order parts and supplies as needed.
• Must be on call twenty-four hours a day.
• Implement, maintain, and support safety program and housekeeping policies.
• Ensure equipment safety: check guards, hydraulics, brakes, fluids, safety equipment, propane tanks.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
• Work schedule may require nights and weekends and overtime as necessary.

Essential Functions/Position Responsibilities:

• Report to Plant Manager any information that may impede the operation of the plant as soon as it becomes known.
• Conduct selective inventory monthly and verify with computerized inventory of maintenance parts and supplies.
• Order parts and supplies.
• Must be on call twenty-four hours a day.
• Implement, maintain, and support all company policies and procedures, including safety program, and good housekeeping.
• Ensure the safety of the Equipment: Check and repair safety guards, Installed correctly, Check for obstruction, Check and repair hydraulics: Leaks, Cracks, breaks, etc. Check operating vehicles, Brakes are functional, Fluids are within specified range, Safety equipment is functional and in place, Check propane tanks for rust, corrosion, damages and repair
• Perform any and all other duties as assigned by manager

Hiring Requirements/Preferences

• High school diploma or GED.
• Computer/Data entry skills.
• Demonstrated personnel managerial skills.
• Four years maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant
• Two years’ experience in electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity.
• High degree of safety culture/awareness

• Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.

• Strictly adhere to safety requirements and the policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co–workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by PRATT Safety and OSHA.
• Be at least age 18 years of age due to nature of working environment.
• You will be expected to be flexible to the needs of our business, as we continually strive to meet and exceed the needs of our customers.
• Pre-employment, Random and Suspicion Drug tests are performed
