Job Opening: Summer Maintenance Laborers at Weber School District

Several positions have been declared open at Weber School District in Maintenance for Summer Maintenance Laborers. These are temporary positions, working 8.00 hours per day. Previous experience is desired. The work period is from 5/27/2025 through 08/15/2025.

THIS POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FILLED, AFTER A MINIMUM OF 5 WORKING DAYS.

Job Summary

Under the supervision of an assigned foreman, the maintenance laborer assists maintenance personnel with a variety of maintenance tasks.

Essential Functions
  1. Work with and receive direction from journeyman-level personnel.
  2. Perform tasks such as carpet laying and painting, among other duties.
  3. Stock and clean parts, storage, and work areas.

The list of essential functions is not exhaustive and may be adjusted to meet job requirements. To succeed in this role, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Hold and maintain a valid Utah driver's license appropriate for the duties.
  • Ability to lift and work with heavy tools and equipment.
Education and Training
  • No specific education requirement, but must demonstrate the ability to read and communicate effectively for successful job performance.
