Job summary

ABB is seeking a Maintenance Technician to lead the maintenance of equipment, production lines, and facilities onsite at the Pinetops, NC facility. You will define maintenance plans, improve reliability, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance to optimize operations.

The role requires 2+ years of maintenance experience, a high school diploma or GED, and an associate degree in a related field is a plus. Expect hands-on technical work and safety-focused practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma / GED or equivalent education.
• 2+ years working as a maintenance technician.
• Experience around Data Analysis & Reporting, Engineering & Manufacturing Processes, Planned Maintenance & Backlog, and Specialist Technical & Engineering Skills.
• Associate's Degree in related fields (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, or Electromechanical) is a plus.
• Knowledge and use of tools - tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.
• Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed. Ability to lift, push and pull up to 40lbs.
• Candidates must already possess authorization to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Defining maintenance plans for new production lines or facilities, and consulting on ways to improve reliability, maintainability, and safety of equipment and/or facilities.
• Solving major technical, equipment, or facilities problems to achieve higher performance of the production lines.
• Proposing improvement projects for processes and production lines aimed at reducing ordinary and extraordinary maintenance and optimizing operational and energy efficiency.
• Responding to emergencies, breakdowns, malfunctions, and other operating problems to minimize disruption in the production process.
• Responsibility over equipment preventive and corrective maintenance.
• CMMs reportability.
