Job summary

ABB is seeking a Maintenance Technician to lead maintenance for equipment, lines, and facilities at our Pinetops, NC site. You will guide maintenance planning with engineering and management, improve reliability and energy efficiency, and respond quickly to equipment emergencies to minimize production disruption.

You will document technical details and maintain records, working onsite with the team to meet safety guidelines and optimize operational performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years working as a maintenance technician.
• Data Analysis & Reporting experience.
• Knowledge of Engineering & Manufacturing Processes.
• Planned Maintenance & Backlog and Specialist Technical & Engineering Skills.
• Knowledge and use of tools – tape measure, calipers, grinders, or other hand tools, as needed.
• Ability to safely use a ladder while performing the job, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance of equipment, production lines, and facilities to optimize technical and financial resources.
• Oversee execution of routine and extraordinary maintenance activities.
• Manage and update technical documentation of equipment and lines.
• Work with engineering/management to specify maintenance plans for new lines.
• Propose improvements to reliability, maintainability, and energy efficiency; respond to emergencies promptly.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
