The Maintenance Specialist IV performs maintenance and preventive repairs on machinery, equipment, and instruments. Responsibilities include using hand tools, electronic tools, and measuring devices. This is a non-exempt position reporting to LSCPA’s Physical Plant Department.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three years of responsible experience in carpentry, painting, or equipment use, including as a craftsman
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

Work Hours: 40 hours per week

Essential Job Functions:

• Paint buildings, fixtures, and equipment
• Prepare surfaces for painting using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment; paint interior and exterior surfaces
• Operate and clean paint spray guns properly
• Mix, thin, and apply finishing materials
• Refinish office furniture, cabinets, and shelves (metal and wood)
• Erect scaffolding and prepare sites for painting
• Maintain records of materials and labor
• Assist with locksmith duties
• Perform other related duties as assigned
