Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Maintenance Specialist for the Night Shift in Greenville, SC. You will diagnose and repair electro‑mechanical equipment, lead maintenance projects, and train staff to improve reliability and efficiency.

Requirements include five to ten years of electro‑mechanical experience, an Associates Degree with pneumatics/hydraulics, and strong PLC/blueprint reading skills. You’ll work with in‑house equipment, maintain safety standards, and contribute to continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Five to ten years experience in electro‑mechanical capacity.
• Associates Degree with curriculum including pneumatics, hydraulics, fluid power, industrial electricity, PLCs, blueprint reading, machining, and kinematics and mechanics of machines.
• Proven ability to use and operate precision instruments and machines.
• Speaking and presentation skills to conduct effective meetings

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair all equipment with no supervision and work on projects.
• Direct employees in maintaining records, read data, and drive decisions from data.
• Direct employees to identify faulty parts and order parts or supplies not on hand.
• Primary trainer of maintenance employees to upgrade knowledge of mechanical repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Develop and modify preventative maintenance programs to maximize reliability.
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and equipment resource personnel.
• Lead and develop employees to achieve targets.
• Other duties as necessary

Compensation

• Pay Range is $28.31 to $38.24 - paid weekly

Maintenance Specialist available shift: Night Shift

Education & Experience

• Five to ten years experience in an electro‑mechanical capacity and been exposed to lean manufacturing.
• Associates Degree required with curriculum including courses in pneumatics and hydraulics, fluid power, industrial electricity, industrial motor controls, PLC’s, blueprint reading, machining, and kinematics and mechanics of machines.
• Proven ability to be able to use and operate precision instruments and machines.
• Speaking and presentation skills to conduct effective meetings

Key Job Requirements

• Will have the knowledge to diagnose, repair all equipment with no supervision and work on projects.
• Should be an expert with all in-house equipment and procedures related to the mechanical field and have a fundamental understanding of electrics.
• Will be expected to direct employees in maintaining necessary records, read data and drive decisions from data.
• Will be expected to direct employees to identify faulty parts, be knowledgeable of where spare parts are located and provide proper information, in the form of a requisition, to order parts or supplies that are not presently on hand.
• Primary trainer of maintenance employees to upgrade their knowledge of mechanical repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment.
• Be diversified and willing to assist in a variety of skills as needed.
• Active participant in developing and modifying preventative maintenance program on all equipment that will maximize equipment reliability and dependability.
• Develop and maintain a business relationship with vendors and equipment resource personnel.
• Works within a group showing the ability to be lead and develop employees.
• To be able to achieve predetermined targets
