Job summary

Arconic is seeking a General Mechanic for our Aluminum Extrusion (AEX) unit in Chandler, AZ. The role focuses on designing, fabricating, installing, repairing, modifying and maintaining machines and facilities to support production.

You may work 8- or 12-hour shifts, including evenings, nights, holidays and overtime. Requires 5+ years journeyman experience or equivalent with welding, hydraulics, sheet metal, pipe fitting and blueprints knowledge.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.
• Pass a comprehensive online and hands-on skills test.
• Pass a physical exam, drug screen and background check.
• Minimum 5 years journey person experience or equivalent with heavy equipment knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, fabricate, install, repair, modify and maintain machines, equipment, structures and facilities.
• Be willing to work fixed 8- or 12-hour shifts, evenings, nights, holidays and overtime.
