Job summary

Catholic Family and Community Services, through the Hope House Fix It Program, seeks a Maintenance Worker (Per Diem) in Dover, NJ to perform field home repairs and on-site maintenance, helping families remain safe and secure.

Responsibilities include safety assessments, minor repairs, weatherization, installing rails or ramps, completing work orders, tracking supplies, and collaborating with program staff to support quality services.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Must have a valid NJ Driver's license.
• Knowledge of minor household repairs including plumbing, electric and carpentry.
• Requires lifting (up to 50 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Complete home safety assessments in client homes.
• Perform minor repairs to improve safety and weatherization, install handrails or small ramps.
• Carry out seasonal upkeep tasks and light labor.
• Submit work orders and expense check requests for Fix It services.
• Monitor Fix It supply inventory and gather client financial documents.
• Support program implementation and participate in meetings.
