Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a Maintenance Specialist/Groundskeeper for Buddy Holly Hall in Lubbock, Texas. This full-time, hourly role supports operations with facilities maintenance, landscaping, irrigation, and general upkeep.

The job requires the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, operate lawn care tools, and read safety documents. Two years of maintenance or grounds care experience are preferred, and an applicators license is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• Two years of maintenance, construction, or grounds care experience preferred.
• Ability to operate lawn mowers, trimming devices, hand tools and power tools.
• Knowledge of irrigation/sprinkler systems.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Applicators license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility maintenance and groundskeeping duties including repairs, landscaping, irrigation maintenance, and general upkeep of venue facilities and grounds.
• Operate hand tools and landscaping equipment.
• Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, ground cover and flowers.
• Install and maintain signs, barricades, fences and irrigation systems.
• Mow, edge, and trim turf areas and maintain clean grounds.
• Identify and communicate safety issues on grounds and walkways.
• Support other duties as assigned.

POSITION: Maintenance Specialist/Groundskeeper

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

FLSA STATUS: Full-time, Non-Exempt, Hourly

Summary

Performs facility maintenance and groundskeeping duties including repairs, construction support, landscaping, irrigation maintenance, and general upkeep of venue facilities and grounds.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Seat repair and maintenance including cup holder removal and installation
• Maintenance of suites including drywall, hardware, painting, ceiling tile and fixtures
• Various carpentry projects, new construction and repairs
• Concrete patching, caulking and coating
• Painting and surface preparation
• Provide upkeep of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters and grounds features
• Operate hand tools and landscaping equipment
• Plant and maintain trees, shrubs, ground cover and flowers
• Install and maintain signs, barricades, fences and irrigation systems
• Mow, edge and trim turf areas, collect debris and clear trash
• Identify and communicate safety issues on grounds and walkways
• Perform other duties as assigned
