Job Description

Role:

To address minor issues relating to the upkeep and maintenance of the company facilities at all locations, supplementing the general maintenance of cleaners and tradesmen when and where required.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  1. Respond to daily maintenance needs in a Service Strategy fashion as directed by the Facilities Manager. Assist the Facilities Manager by anticipating future needs to ensure all facilities are well-maintained. Work closely with the Facilities Manager to define priorities. In the absence of the Facilities Manager, responsibilities include acting as manager of department orders and supplies as needed.
  2. Provide project oversight as directed by the Facilities Manager, including construction projects, special orders, ATM/ITM maintenance, renovations, department expansions, and other projects as needed.
  3. Assist in removal of snow and ice from walks and driveways. Provide backup coverage for courier duties, including moving mail and packages to branches and the Post Office. Notify management regarding needed repairs.
  4. Conduct daily routine maintenance where applicable (general maintenance, electrical, bulbs, supplies, storage, disposal of equipment, etc.). Provide higher-level support for construction and general maintenance.
  5. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience:

Five to eight years of similar or related experience.

Education:

A two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Interpersonal Skills:

Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential. Work involves contact with others inside and/or outside the organization regarding routine matters, requiring some discussion.

Physical Requirements:

Lifting up to 60 pounds, bending, reaching, using ladders, twisting, shoveling.

Work Environment:

Office and travel between locations as needed.
