• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment.
• Lead preventive maintenance and shutdown projects.
• Coordinate work assignments and provide directions to maintenance personnel, contractors, and vendors.
• Facilitate maintenance, safety, and training meetings.
• Serve as backup for the Maintenance Manager when required.
• Promote safe work practices and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST

Position Summary

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Specialist serves as a key member of the Owensboro maintenance team. This positionis responsible forsupporting plant safety, equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintenance & Technical Support

• Perform hands-on maintenance and repair activities on converting and production equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment.
• Identifyand implement reliability improvements to reduce downtime.

Leadership & Coordination

• Lead preventive maintenance and shutdown projects.
• Coordinate work assignments and provide directions to maintenance personnel, contractors, and vendors.
• Facilitate maintenance, safety, and training meetings.
• Serve asbackupfor the Maintenance Manager whenrequired.

Safety & Continuous Improvement

• Promote safe work practices at all times.
• Ensure unsafe conditions are corrected promptly.
• Lead approved safety improvement projects.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics.
• Demonstrate leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiencywith Microsoft Office and maintenance systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ yearsmaintainingpaper converting or manufacturing equipment.
• Advanced knowledge of paper converting processes.
• PLC Programming Certification or equivalent experience.
