Northern Maine Medical Center Inc. is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure the proper functioning of equipment and facilities, including routine inspections and repairs.

You will diagnose issues, use a variety of tools, and maintain records of all work performed, while upholding safety and confidentiality standards. The role involves assisting in boiler operations, managing spare parts, and supporting other staff in Preventive Maintenance and daily tasks to keep all hospital

JOB SUMMARY:

Ensures the proper functioning and upkeep of equipment and facilities by performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs. This role involves diagnosing issues, using various tools for repairs, and maintaining records of all work performed. Responsibilities also include ensuring compliance with safety regulations, managing spare parts and supplies, and potentially training other staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintains all utility equipment including HVAC, refrigeration and heating systems alike.
• Assists Carpenter, Electricians or other Contractors whenever needed.
• Assists in groundskeeping and snow removal when needed.
• Participates in a robust Preventative Maintenance Program.
• Participates in daily routine maintenance tasks as needed.
• Will always provide strict patient confidentiality.
• Assists in boiler plant operations.
• Will assist in maintaining all NMMC facilities and properties.
• Performs such related duties not listed herein but deemed in the best interest of NMMC
