Republic Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician B to service our fleet, performing diagnosis and repair across diesel and gasoline equipment. You will handle chassis, refuse bodies, braking and hydraulic systems, engines, HVAC, suspension and steering, and provide road service when needed to keep operations running smoothly.
The role requires 3–5 years in a technician position or completion of an automotive college/technical program within the next 3 months, plus a valid driver’s license.
With direct supervision from a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Technician B performs repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks including, but not limited to, chassis components, vehicle refuse bodies and control systems, hydraulic electrical, air brake systems, general engine work, HVAC components, suspension, drive train and steering systems. The Maintenance Technician B may also perform basic tire work, such as replacement, tire rotation, and tread depth checks. The pay range for this position is $22.40 to $30.80* which reflects the minimum wage in multiple jurisdictions. The actual range will depend on the locality in which you are hired.
