Job summary

You should have 5–7 years of hands-on experience, a valid license, and ASE certifications are a plus. CDL-B preferred, with comprehensive medical/dental/vision benefits and a strong retirement plan.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience as a technician on heavy-duty trucks.
• Ability to diagnose multi-system issues and perform repairs without supervision in several subsystems.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL-B preferred but not required.
• ASE heavy truck certifications are a plus but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Maintains advanced knowledge and performs complex repair maintenance on chassis components and refuse bodies.
• Diagnoses and repairs engine, electrical, hydraulics, brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Performs fuel system diagnostics and aftertreatment system work.
• Line weld/fabrication, on-site and on-road service, using electronic tools to locate malfunctions.
• Complete company training programs and support fleet reliability.

**POSITION SUMMARY:** With direct supervision from a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Technician A performs repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks including, but not limited to, chassis components; refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems; air brake systems; general engine work; HVAC components; and suspension, drive train and steering systems.
