Job summary

Republic Services in Utah is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to repair and maintain diesel and non-diesel equipment, including chassis, refuse bodies, braking, engines, HVAC, and electrical systems. You will work under supervision of Lead Technician or Maintenance Manager on our state-of-the-art fleet.

Qualifications

• Diagnose multi-system issues on heavy-duty trucks.
• 5–7 years of technician experience on heavy trucks.
• ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1–T8) are a plus but not required.
• CDL (Class B or higher) is a plus but not required.
• LNG/CNG experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex repair and maintenance on chassis components, bodies, brakes, engines, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Diagnose electrical concerns with scan tools and perform line welding/fabrication as needed.
• Complete applicable company training programs and perform other duties as assigned.

**POSITION SUMMARY:** With direct supervision from a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Technician A performs repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks including, but not limited to, chassis components; refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems; air brake systems; general engine work; HVAC components; and suspension, drive train and steering systems.
