Join Our Team as a Maintenance Shift Supervisor

Apply now for the Maintenance Shift Supervisor - 7AM to 7PM + Weekends role at Charter Aarrowcast.

Charter Manufacturing, a fourth-generation family-owned business, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Shift Supervisor to join our team in Shawano, WI. Relocation assistance is available.

Schedule: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Friday through Monday. Weekly plant shutdown begins Fridays at 6:00 AM and ends Mondays at 6:00 AM.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Shift Supervisor will oversee the maintenance of production equipment, the building, and grounds. Responsibilities include making recommendations for optimal maintenance, supervising preventative maintenance, coordinating with vendors and engineering, and ensuring quality and efficiency.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Ensure materials and components are available for production.
  • Investigate equipment problems and recommend solutions.
  • Maintain equipment, building, and grounds; manage purchase of materials and services.
  • Recommend new equipment or processes for efficiency improvements.
  • Train employees on equipment and safety procedures.
  • Suggest improvements for plant layout and facilitate equipment movement.
  • Prepare management reports as needed.
  • Stay current with industry developments.
  • Exercise judgment to maintain, repair, and modify equipment within policies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.
  • Utilize personal computer, tools, and fabrication equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and adhere to environmental, quality, and safety procedures.
Minimum Requirements
  • Associate’s Degree in STEM or equivalent experience.
  • Over three years of electromechanical experience in manufacturing.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Knowledge of maintenance technology, blueprint reading, and machine repair.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and independent work skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM.
  • Experience in foundry or metals industry.
  • Experience with CMMS/ERP systems and certifications like CMRP.
  • Leadership training and departmental management experience.
