The Facility Shift Manager oversees the engineering team to ensure effective maintenance of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems, and general facility conditions, including compliance with regulations.

  • Manage daily operations for maintenance, installation, and repair of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Assign, update, and complete work orders; communicate with departments and inspect projects.
  • Provide exceptional guest service with a friendly demeanor; assist guests and team members proactively.
  • Create schedules, control labor costs, and meet staffing goals.
  • Plan projects and preventative maintenance.
  • Monitor inventory of parts and materials, reordering as needed.
  • Inspect the property daily, ensure cleanliness, attractiveness, and functionality; address issues promptly.
  • Develop training programs for staff, including department leads, to maximize potential.
  • Stay informed on new methods, equipment, and techniques to improve operations.
  • Coordinate with vendors for repairs and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain high team member engagement.
  • Lead hiring, coaching, recognition, and evaluation processes.

To succeed, candidates should perform all duties satisfactorily. Requirements include at least an associate degree in facilities management or related field, plus 5 years of progressive experience managing a multifunctional maintenance facility, or equivalent training and experience.

  • Facilities maintenance: 5 years; management: 1 year
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, generators, fire pumps, and switchgears; trade license preferred.
  • Willing to work varied shifts.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and similar applications.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret building plans.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.

Shift Hours (Day/Swing): 10am-6pm or 11am-7pm; Days off Sun/Mon

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, coach, and recognize team members.
  • Evaluate performance and provide feedback.
  • Handle staffing, scheduling, and workflow management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with regulations and OSHA standards.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Effective communication in English (spoken, read, and written).

REASONING ABILITY

Apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems involving multiple variables.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Obtain necessary licenses and permits per regulations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must speak, hear, stand, walk, and use hands; lift up to 25 pounds regularly, 100 pounds occasionally; perform physical tasks in various environments.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Typically noisy, with exposure to hazards, odors, humidity, temperature changes, dust, and machinery; potential exposure to second-hand tobacco smoke.
