GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Under the supervision of the Facilities Manager, the maintenance service technician will perform maintenance services and repairs in the areas of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, plastering, appliance servicing, etc., and errands associated with these items.
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provide maintenance and repair services, including plumbing, electrical, and mechanical services for the main facility and satellite offices.
- Assist with the maintenance of outdoor landscaping for all sites.
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of lighting, doors, cabinets, flooring, etc.
- Assist with painting interior and exterior walls and repair such surfaces as needed.
- Assist in stocking, unloading, and delivering supplies.
- Complete work orders as assigned by the Facilities Manager.
- Set up conference rooms for meetings when requested.
- Regulate ventilation and temperature; clean air vents and change air filters as required.
- Run errands related to facilities as needed.
- Act as liaison with vendors when the Facilities Manager is unable to do so.
- Move and assemble furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Perform routine checks of restrooms, kitchens, and conference rooms for cleanliness at all sites.
- Cleanup areas as necessary.
- Assist with conducting monthly safety and maintenance checks of all assigned areas.
- Report conditions or unusual circumstances that might be hazardous to the safety of staff and the public.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledgeable in principles of sanitation, health, and safety measures.
- Experience in performing general carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical duties.
- Familiar with a variety of maintenance and repair concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to understand and implement both oral and written instructions.
- Ability to rely on experience, judgment, and problem-solving skills to complete service-related issues.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with staff.
- Travel within the state is required.
- Comply with all agency and program policies and procedures, including confidentiality, employee conduct, computer usage, and dress code.
- Meet the program/department’s performance and productivity standards.
- Attend required agency and program/department meetings.
- Adhere to the schedule agreed upon with the supervisor.
- Follow and model CFR’s core values.
- Participate in PQI initiatives.
- Must be eligible and able to obtain a Level One fingerprint card.
- Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license, vehicle, and meet agency liability insurance requirements.

ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift 50+lbs.
- Must be able to climb up and down a ladder and maneuver easily on higher elevations (i.e., roof, ladder, etc.)
- Moderate reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
- Knowledge and ability to operate general maintenance tools.
- Moderate twisting, bending, stooping, or crouching in the performance of assigned duties.
- Ability to use a variety of office equipment and machines as referenced.
- Normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination are required.
- Repeated hand-wrist movement is required.
- The Pay Rate for this position starts at $18.50 per hour.
- The nature of the position involves a fast-paced working environment with multitasking of many different duties and tasks.
- General daily priorities may change at a moment’s notice, and the position requires quick response time and flexibility.
