• We have an opening for a full-time Maintenance Senior Technician position.
• Location: Shell - 1926 East Pacific Coast Highway, Wilmington, CA 90744. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time; Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Prior experience in MEP, general maintenance, and intermediate budget management.
• Pay Range: $30.00 to $36.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Performs skilled maintenance duties related to the facility's engineering and maintenance functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Constructs, installs, maintains, and repairs electrical and mechanical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Maintains HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems, sterilizers, sprinkler systems, transport systems, electronic signaling, and fire alarm systems, with proper training and licensing.
• Leads a team on projects and teaches maintenance skills to staff.
• Updates work statuses, costs, and timelines using company tech systems.
• Supports fleet maintenance, including welding, plumbing, electrical work, vehicle troubleshooting, generator repairs, and general maintenance.
• Reviews work of outside vendors and non-licensed workers; creates punch lists.
• Determines manpower, materials, and deadlines for jobs.
• Reads blueprints and specifications to plan work layout.
• Performs routine calculations, maintains logs, and conducts inspections.
• Responds to emergency repairs and recommends system improvements.
• Serves on the facility's emergency response team and performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• At least five years of maintenance experience in an institutional setting.
• Specialization in one trade with a valid Journeyman's license (Electrical, Refrigerant, Plumbing, Carpentry, Welding, Steam & Pipefitting, Masonry, or Electronic Instrumentation).
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read blueprints and specifications.
