Job summary

The University of Louisiana Monroe is seeking a Maintenance Repairer 2 to join our team, supporting campus operations through repairs of HVAC systems, drainage, thermostats, and a range of motorized equipment.

Appointment type includes probabilational, promotional or job appointment, with contact information provided for further inquiries and a focus on maintaining campus facilities and mechanical systems.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance.
• Completion of a two-year vocational technical program in general building construction, construction technology, or engineering.
• Twelve semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Performs general repairs and maintenance on air conditioning and heating systems.
• Unclogs drain pans and drain lines on fan coil units.
• Repairs or replaces thermostats.
• Maintains and performs general repairs on a variety of motorized equipment, including tune-ups, replacement and adjustment of worn or damaged parts, starters, pumps, belts, and related components. Cleans chiller coils and replaces filters as needed.
• Performs other duties and assignments as directed by higher-ranking personnel.
