Job summary

The State of Louisiana, Secretary of State Archives Division, seeks a dependable Maintenance Repairer 1 or 2 to perform general building maintenance, minor trades repairs, and preventive upkeep to preserve historical facilities and secure archives infrastructure.

Required are one year of experience or six semester hours in construction related fields; ability to work with contracted vendors; and capacity to assist with security and custodial tasks.

Qualifications

• One year of experience or training in building maintenance or related trades.
• Six semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or combinations thereof.
• Ability to work with contracted vendors and assist with security and custodial tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, install and repair interior/exterior equipment, electrical fixtures, HVAC and plumbing.
• Work with contracted vendors for repairs and services.
• Assist with building security duties.
• Assist with custodial needs and daily building maintenance.

The Louisiana Secretary of State Archives Division seeks a dependable Maintenance Repairer 1 or 2 to perform general building maintenance, minor trade repairs, and preventive upkeep to preserve historical facilities and secure archives infrastructure.

One year of experience or training in the building construction trades, building maintenance, maintenance or repair of mechanical equipment, or park operations and grounds maintenance; OR

Six semester hours in construction management, construction technology, or engineering, or any combination of these courses.

• Maintain, install and repair all interior/exterior equipment, electrical fixtures, HVAC and plumbing
