Job description

What you’ll do:

1. Tear down, determine extent of troubles, repair damaged electrical or mechanical mechanisms, or replace worn or defective parts, and reassemble following standard and prescribed safety regulations.
2. Need a basic understanding of PLC logic.
3. Adjust equipment to required specifications and check to ensure effective operation.
4. Check the sequence of machine cycles, determine the type of machine malfunction, and make all necessary repairs applying machine repair theory along with electrical theory.
5. Perform electrical test operations.
6. Work from complex schematic diagrams, manuals, and testing procedures.
7. Troubleshoot all defective printed circuit assembly boards.
8. Perform similar or associated electrical or mechanical duties as directed.
9. Detect and report all unusual cases to proper supervision.
10. Use judgment to comply with instructions or prescribed routines and to make decisions.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Journeyman or three (3) years of manufacturing maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade.
• Experience with ladder logic circuit diagrams, industrial motor control schematics, and blueprint reading.
• Authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship.
• Must currently reside within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY facility.

Preferred qualifications:

• CNC Maintenance experience.
• Background in machining and electrical equipment.
• Two-year degree in electronics with mechanical experience or military electronics experience.
• Experience with hydraulics.

Skills and Certifications:

• Three years manufacturing maintenance or related degree and one year experience.
• Experience with ladder logic circuit diagrams.
• Local (within 50 miles) of the plant.
