An established industry player is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues in manufacturing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. Position Overview:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues in manufacturing equipment. This includes dismantling components, identifying faults, replacing or repairing defective parts, and ensuring reassembly aligns with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Disassemble equipment to diagnose electrical or mechanical issues, replace or repair components, and reassemble following safety protocols.
Possess a basic understanding of PLC logic to support troubleshooting and repair tasks.
Adjust machinery to meet required specifications and verify operational effectiveness.
Analyze machine cycles to identify malfunctions and execute repairs using both mechanical and electrical knowledge.
Conduct electrical testing and inspections.
Interpret complex schematics, manuals, and testing protocols.
Troubleshoot and repair defective printed circuit boards.
Perform related mechanical or electrical duties as assigned.
Report abnormal conditions or issues to the appropriate supervisor.
Exercise sound judgment in following procedures and making on-the-spot decisions.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Journeyman-level certification or a minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance (electrical/mechanical) within a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in reading and interpreting ladder logic, motor control schematics, and technical blueprints.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Must reside within a 50-mile radius of the Syracuse, NY facility.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience maintaining CNC machinery.
Background in machining and working with electrical equipment.
Associate degree in electronics with mechanical experience or equivalent military electronics training.
Familiarity with hydraulic systems.
