Job summary

Bulk Environmental & Industrial is seeking a Maintenance & Repair Supervisor in Ellenwood, GA. The role oversees the fleet maintenance shop, directs technicians, and ensures repairs and servicing are performed to keep trucks and equipment running efficiently.

You will hire/train staff, schedule daily workflows, and maintain records, while enforcing safety policies and coordinating parts/inventory for maintenance operations. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance and Repair Supervisor will oversee the facility and be responsible for maintaining and repairing the company’s fleet of vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment. The supervisor will also serve as a direct supervisor to all shop technicians and mechanics.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Hires and trains shop employees.
• Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of shop employees.
• Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
• Plans and coordinates tasks and activities of company’s fleet auto repair shop, working on diesel-powered vehicles, trucks, and heavy equipment.
• Prepares maintenance schedules for motor vehicles and heavy equipment; notifies drivers and operators when maintenance is to be performed.
• Operates diagnostic equipment to determine repairs that need to be made.
• Performs repairs and maintenance for company vehicles and equipment.
• Maintains database of maintenance and repair records for company vehicles and equipment.
• Oversees shop inventory, orders parts, shop supplies, and equipment.
• Ensures all applicable safety standards and regulations are followed in facility.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

• Must be bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to maintain service record database and track inventory.

Physical Demands

This job in a dynamic environment requires being sensitive to change and responsive to changing goals, priorities, and needs. Intermittently balancing, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, lifting, mental acuity, pulling pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, talking, and visual acuity. Also requires heavy work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally.

Working Conditions

This job is located primarily in an indoor office environment with varying noise levels. There may be varying degrees of temperature. The employee may be interrupted from time to time.
