Beacon Behavioral Partners seeks a facilities maintenance professional to support non-clinical equipment maintenance and safety practices within a hospital setting. You will coordinate with departments to ensure equipment availability and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities include processing work orders, performing preventative maintenance, and participating in emergency management planning while upholding safety and quality culture.
Essential knowledge, skills and experience of general facility maintenance.
Proven technical and physical skills such as operating a wet/dry vac, painting, and able to get up and down a ladder.
Education and experience needed for satisfactory performance. Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions. Physical ability to perform job that requires bending, stretching and lifting moderate to heavy loads.

Required to process work order and provide preventative maintenance of non-clinical equipment
Supports quality improvement culture to assure safe environment of care.
Coordinates services with other departments to ensure the continuity of the residents' plan of care and that all equipments are available and functioning properly.
Check with administrative staff to prioritize work order processing.
Maintain all equipment in safe manner so that no patient may injure self or others.
Maintains all hospital flooring by cleaning, buffing, waxing, etc. as requiredand maintains a culture of safety and quality.
Assesses for and initiates interim life safety measures.
Interprets and enforces the Life Safety Code.
Conducts building and grounds hazard surveillance surveys on a periodic and regular basis to detect code violations, hazards and incorrect work practices and procedures.
Participates in safety training for hospital staff.
Other duties and special projects as requested.
Prepares and disseminates memos and verbal reports regarding Safety Practices to second shift so there is a continuous flow of communication.
Participates in emergency management planning, including all phases, mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.
