Volpi Foods, America’s oldest family-owned Italian meat manufacturer, seeks a Maintenance & Reliability Planner to lead preventive and corrective maintenance planning across plant equipment. You will oversee MRO inventory, PM/CMMS programs, and project delivery while coordinating with the Maintenance Manager and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include planning work orders, managing spare parts and purchasing requisitions, and ensuring timely maintenance backlog progress.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a high school education with at least five years of directly related experience.
• An associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred with at least three years of experience.
• Prior industrial maintenance, inventory, and/or planning experience required.
• Experience with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems is required.
• CMMS experience and ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics are essential.

• Coordinate maintenance needs with operations to minimize downtime.
• Perform data analysis to monitor PM and MRO performance; implement improvements.
• Lead maintenance repair and improvement projects; backup Maintenance Manager.

Position Summary:

The Maintenance & Reliability Planner leads the planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance for a wide variety of equipment, devices and machinery used in the manufacturing and packaging of food products. This position is also responsible for providing leadership and support to the Maintenance Team and acts as a liaison to all other business functions in the organization. Responsibilities include coordination and planning of maintenance work, MRO inventory & ordering management, PM/CMMS program management, and project management, while working closely with the Maintenance Manager.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

-Creates, modifies, and maintains the preventive maintenance planning and schedule program for the plant/facility and machinery used in the manufacturing and packaging of food products. Implements, schedules and maintains Preventive Maintenance (PM) and workorders in Redzone (CMMS). Creates PM plans, schedules and assigns work, as needed. Contributes to the creation of SOPs.

-Manages all maintenance stock inventory. Creates, modifies, and maintains maintenance inventory both in Volpi's ERP and CMMS systems. Ensures inventory accuracy through routine cycle counting. Sets stock inventory levels and ensures a proper and automated reordering process. Responsible for Item Master and Purchase Requisition Accuracy

-Obtains quotes for, creates, and submits Purchasing Requisitions for all maintenance purchases. Monitors PO and delivery status as well as maintenance GL/Spend accuracy. Performs goods receipts for all maintenance POs.

-Ensures planned and corrective maintenance workorders are planned and kitted properly, setting up the maintenance organization for efficient execution. Verifies all material, information, tools and labor are available for planned maintenance work.

-Manages maintenance work backlog, ensuring PMs and Workorders are progressing to completion and completed in a timely manner.

-Sources services and components, while negotiating pricing through vendors. Ensures timely delivery of supplies, components and services. Reviews Site Safety and Quality requirements with vendors upon arrival to site. Manages 3rd party maintenance and service contracts, as well as vendors on-site.

-Coordinates maintenance needs with operational functions to minimize and optimize downtime.

-Performs data analysis as needed for monitoring the performance of the planned maintenance and/or MRO inventory program. Provides recommendations and executes improvements from this analysis.

-Leads maintenance repair and improvement projects, as needed.

- Serves as backup to the Maintenance Manager. Gives daily direction to Maintenance

Technicians and vendors, as needed.

- Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

- A minimum of a high school education with at least five years of directly related experience.

An associate or bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred with at least three years of

experience.

- Prior industrial maintenance, inventory, and/or planning experience required.

- Prior experience with industrial electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems required.

- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, blueprints, and

process control documents.

- A minimum of one year experience preparing preventive maintenance and repair procedures

for equipment used in food manufacturing or a similar industry.

- Demonstrates superior customer service, teamwork, integrity, and commitment to innovation,

efficiency, and fiscally responsible activity.

- Ability to analyze and develop efficient maintenance procedures and work packages.

- Prior experience with a CMMS is required.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

- Ability to work flexible hours and occasional hours outside of a standard work schedule as

needed.

- Hold a valid Motor Vehicle driver's license and a valid forklift driver's certificate or have the

ability to learn and be certified upon hire.

- CMRP or PMP certification preferred.

- Proficient in MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
