Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a maintenance-focused professional to handle a variety of equipment checks and repairs. You will diagnose problems, test generators, inspect electrical panels and multiple building systems, and coordinate carpentry tasks as needed.

The role requires hands-on skills with mechanical systems, adherence to safety, and the ability to work under time pressure while ensuring minimal downtime for critical facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Ability to solve maintenance problems and deal with variables where minimal standardization exists.
• Ability to perform duties under constant time pressures.
• Test emergency generator.
• Record data from main electrical panels.
• Inspect equipment and building areas including air compressors, roof equipment, and sprinkler systems; record inspection data.
• Test sprinkler system water flow, tamper switches and alarms.
• Test fire pump and alarm.
• Repair or replace equipment to avoid downtime.
• Inspect, lubricate and clean condensers and evaporators.
• Perform annual inspections on refrigeration compressors and related components.
• Inspect and lubricate freezer and cooler doors and maintain parts inventory.
• Design and construct carpentry items requested by other departments.
