Job summary

O-I (Owens-Illinois) in Zanesville, OH seeks an Industrial Maintenance Excellence Manager to lead all maintenance activities in a unionized glass manufacturing facility, driving safety culture, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement in quality and efficiency.

The role requires planning preventive maintenance, implementing corrective actions, and ensuring safety and quality across maintenance and production teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will also be considered.
• Experience in a maintenance leadership position in manufacturing
• Effective communication and people management skills required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel

Responsibilities

• Plan preventive maintenance on equipment, scheduling repairs and upgrades while simultaneously working to maximize plant uptime.
• Assists in implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Ensure the safety and quality of work performed by maintenance and production personnel.
• Provide a high level of technical service to produce glass containers at continuously improving levels of quality

Job Description

TheIndustrial Maintenance Excellence Managerwilllead all maintenance activities for a unionized glass manufacturing facility, driving a world-class safety culture, equipment reliability, employee development, and continuous improvement initiatives. They will provide a committed and high level of technical service, working in partnership with the Unit Plant Manager and the Quality Manager to produce glass containers at continuously improving levels of quality and efficiency.

The Industrial Maintenance Excellence Manager will:

• Plan preventive maintenance on equipment, scheduling repairs and upgrades while simultaneously working to maximize plant uptime.
• Assists in implementing corrective actions when necessary.
• Ensure the safety and quality of work performed by maintenance and production personnel.
• Provide a high level of technical service to produce glass containers at continuously improving levels of quality

The Industrial Maintenance Excellence Manager should have:

• Strong background in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience in using CMMS systems.
• The ability to oversee, schedule, and train personal
• Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement experience/training
• The ability to work at various heights in a 24/7 manufacturing facility

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience will also be considered.
• Experience in a maintenance leadership position in manufacturing
• Effective communication and people management skills required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel

Additional Information

What we offer at O-I:

Salary Range:The expected salary range for this position is between$100,000 and $110,000and includes a possible12%quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
