Job summary

O-I is seeking a Maintenance Planner for our Lapel, IN plant. The role schedules maintenance work, coordinates with production, and drives cost and efficiency improvements across the site.

The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma (GED) with technical training or a relevant degree, CMMS experience, and proven project management skills. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, with salary between $75,000 and $90,000 plus a 12% quarterly incentive.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial maintenance experience is desired.
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is a plus.

• Provide documentation of upcoming work, including parts lists / kits required.
• Review and improve maintenance and planning processes to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
• Understand storeroom inventories and manage parts inventory with budgets.
• Interface with safety processes to improve employee safety and environmental compliance.

Job Description

The Maintenance Planner schedules the maintenance work activity in the plant.

The Maintenance Planner will:

• Coordinate with Job Change Coordinator and production staff to plan maintenance during downtime and maintain a planned maintenance schedule for the facility.
• Provide documentation of upcoming work, including parts lists / kits required.
• Review and improve the maintenance and planning processes to improve efficiency and remove waste, including but not limited to cost, manning and materials.
• Understand storeroom inventories, min/max, and work with storeroom personnel to manage parts inventory and prioritize ordering against available M&E budgets.
• Interface with the safety observation, walk-and-talk, and near-miss processes within the plant to ensure alignment of maintenance resources and activities to improve employee safety and environmental compliance.

The Maintenance Planner should have:

• Excellent computer literacy and proficiency.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical parts (motors, gear boxes, bearings).
• Experience managing projects
• Ability to interact with all levels within the organization

What we offer at O-I:

Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $75,000-$90,000 includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
