Job summary

Southwire in the United States seeks a Maintenance and Reliability Manager to lead the plant maintenance team and drive reliability initiatives across facility assets.

You will oversee corrective and preventive maintenance, develop staff, and ensure KPI reporting while supporting safety and lifecycle management. This role requires 5–7 years in maintenance leadership and a engineering degree; CMPR certification is a plus.

• Years of Experience: 5-7 Years
• Field of Expertise: 5+ Years of maintenance supervisory experience in Industrial Maintenance or Manufacturing
• Licenses/Certificates: CMRP or equivalent (preferred)
• Years of Experience: 8-11 Years in leadership
• Field of Expertise: 8+ Years in maintenance and reliability leadership

Responsibilities

• Serves on the Plant Leadership Team and leads the maintenance organization responsible for asset upkeep.
• Drives Reliability and Maintainability Roadmap elements.
• Interfaces with contractors for expensed and capital work.
• Develops direct reports and leaders through training opportunities.
• Ensures KPIs are collected, reported, and communicated.
• Improves planning, scheduling, root-cause analysis, and preventive/corrective maintenance.
• Participates in equipment modernization activities.
• Audits processes to ensure compliance and expected results.
• Maintains housekeeping and condition of maintenance areas.
• Uses SAP PM to analyze performance and validate workflow adherence.
• Manages staff performance and development toward department goals.

Job description

The Maintenance and Reliability Manager oversees strategic and day-to-day maintenance operations to ensure safety, reliability, and performance of critical systems and facilities. This role emphasizes proactive planning, team development, and adherence to company standards. The manager leads a team in executing reliability-centered maintenance strategies, drives continuous improvement, and collaborates cross-functionally to enhance asset performance and lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

Serves on the Plant Leadership Team (PLT) and leads the maintenance organization that is responsible for corrective and preventive maintenance activity on facility assets.

Drives progression of Reliability and Maintainability Roadmap elements.

Interfaces with contractors within the plant providing expensed and capital project work.

Develops direct reports and other leaders and subordinates by identifying and assigning value-added training and development opportunities and responsible for team adherence to all safety policies.

Ensures key performance indicators (KPIs) are collected, reported, and communicated.

Maintains awareness of functional trends to continuously improve planning and scheduling, root cause analysis, and preventive, corrective, and autonomous maintenance processes.

Ensures success of modernization contributions by participating in early equipment management activities.

Audits elemental processes to ensure they are being followed correctly and are producing the expected results.

Responsible for housekeeping and condition of all maintenance work areas.

Utilizes SAP PM to analyze performance and validate workflow adherences.

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Education & Experience

Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree

Field of Expertise: 5+ Years of maintenance supervisory experience in Industrial Maintenance or Manufacturing

Preferred Education & Experience

Licenses/Certificates: Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent certification

Years of Experience: 8-11 Years

Field of Expertise: 8+ Years in maintenance and reliability leadership capacity in Industrial Maintenance or Manufacturing
