Job Summary

Lead the Maintenance Department

  • As the IFF Jacksonville Maintenance and Reliability Leader, you'll lead the in-house maintenance team to continually improve the short- and long-term maintenance systems in the manufacturing operation by:

  • Working with the site team to support the Process Safety Management systems, safety initiatives, and ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 programs.
  • Providing technical expertise to analyze and resolve recurring issues affecting plant operations.
Job Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in a science, engineering (ChE, ME, IE, or EE), or related field is preferred, with 12 years of manufacturing experience (at least 4 years of supervisory/leadership experience).
  • 7+ years of experience as a Maintenance Superintendent in an industrial environment (a bachelor's degree in Mech, ChE, or EE Engineering or related field could be substituted for years of relevant experience).
  • An understanding of mechanical reliability and maintenance principles.
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures, electrical distribution systems, safe work practices, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, preventative/predictive maintenance, and facilities maintenance.
  • Computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with SAP.
  • Experience in utilities, boilers, high-speed rotating equipment, pumps, air, refrigeration is preferred.
  • Experience working in a PSM regulated facility.
  • Effective communication with all organizational levels, including technicians, engineers, contractors, and management.
  • Able to plan, prioritize, and implement multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and develop technical and soft skills within the work group.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Physical ability to climb, stand, and walk regularly.
  • Capability to oversee and execute organizational and program policies efficiently.
  • Proven ability to build teams and drive operational efficiencies.
  • Team player with collaborative skills and the ability to gain consensus.
  • Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in defining and implementing preventive maintenance practices to ensure operational availability.
  • Experience working with maintenance resources to develop high-performing, customer-focused teams.
  • Ability to establish best practices within the maintenance department.
  • Ensuring maintenance objectives related to safety, cost, and quality are met.
  • Collaborating with operations and planning teams to manage equipment and facilities safely and efficiently.
  • Overseeing daily management of preventive and predictive maintenance programs and work order systems.
