YOUR OPPORTUNITY


We have an exciting Reliability Engineer opportunity at our Guymon pork processing facility. In this impactful role, you will play a vital part within the Maintenance Department, focusing on reliability and performance optimization across our operation. This role supports data-driven decision-making, continuous improvement, and maintenance best practices, ensuring sustained equipment effectiveness and plant efficiency through Lean Six Sigma, TPM, and 5S methodologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Develop, monitor, and continuously improve KPIs specific to maintenance reliability and performance across the facility.

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data from maintenance operations to drive informed decision-making and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Implement Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify inefficiencies and optimize maintenance processes.

  • Champion 5S practices to maintain an organized, efficient, and safe working environment across all maintenance areas.

  • Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of existing preventive maintenance programs; develop and refine PM strategies to reduce downtime.

  • Develop and enforce Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) practices across all operational areas (Production, Value Added, Harvest, Rendering, and Shipping).

  • Support strategic initiatives in collaboration with the Director of Maintenance, translating data insights into operational improvements.

  • Provide training and mentorship on reliability-centered maintenance and continuous improvement methodologies to maintenance personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS


Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years in reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or continuous improvement within manufacturing or food processing.

  • Proficiency in data analytics (Microsoft Excel, Minitab, etc.).

  • Lean Six Sigma experience (certification preferred).

  • Knowledge of TPM and 5S principles.

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.


Preferred:



  • Experience in pork processing or food production industry.

  • Advanced certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM.

  • Familiarity with CMMS and ERP systems.


SCHEDULE


The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel may be required.


WORK ENVIRONMENT



  • This position operates in both office and industrial environments. Employee must:

  • Be able to move throughout the facility.

  • Occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds.

  • Be comfortable with varying noise levels, heavy machinery, temperature changes, and moving parts.

  • Wear appropriate PPE and follow safety protocols at all times.
