Job summary

J&J Snack Foods is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain and operate HVAC, refrigeration, and plant equipment at our Tampa, FL facility. You will follow directions from the Maintenance/Plant Manager, monitor systems, and proactively address issues to ensure reliability and safety.

Requires 5–10 years of Industrial Refrigeration/HVAC experience, high school diploma or GED, EPA universal license, and ammonia refrigeration training; valid driver's license and background check.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Technicianis responsible forthe maintenanceand operation of all HVAC,refrigeration systems, and plant packaging and production equipmentwithin the plant. The technicianis responsible forperforming all work as directed by theMaintenanceManagerand/or thePlantManager. The technician willmonitorand recognize maintenance issues and needs within the assigned territory and will ensuretimelyand efficient resolution for all service calls.This position will proactivelyseekto continuously improve the reliability and sustainability of allassociatedmechanical, electrical, HVAC, and refrigeration systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform daily checks inspections on refrigeration system & components to verify proper operation

• Make adjustments torefrigeration system as needed tomaintaincorrect &optimaloperation on an industrial Ammonia refrigeration plant

• Must be able to follow detailed instructions both written and oral

• Must be able to precisely follow maintenance procedures

• Must be able to work with all supervisors, outside contractors, and team members

• Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Must be willing to acceptresponsibility, and accountability,ensuringthat properprocedures are followed

• Responsible foraccuratecompletion of checklists, and record all associated data

• Maintain a clean & safe work area

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Required Education:
• High School Diploma or equivalent GED
• There will be a 60-day training/qualifying periodfrom date of hire
• Attain EPA universal license
• Attend third party Ammonia refrigeration training
• Required Experience:
• Minimum of (5) to (10) years working as a maintenance or service technician.
• Minimum of (5) years working with Industrial Refrigeration/HVAC systems.
• Strongdemonstratedmechanical aptitude.
• Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
• Abilityto pass a Background Check.
