Job summary

HNTB is seeking a program manager to oversee the FDOT maintenance program in Tallahassee, FL. The role will manage warehouse and maintenance yard operations, equipment, inventory, and facilities while maintaining strong client relations.

The position requires traveling up to 50% and occasional after-hours responsiveness. Based in Tallahassee, you will ensure project scope, schedule, and budgets meet objectives and client expectations.

  • Performs technical discipline tasks including research, reports, design, specification and plan preparation to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
  • Actively manages project scope, schedule and budget. Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Implements the firm’s project delivery plan using HNTB’s Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project.
  • Develops project scope and fee quotation, and assists in the preparation of proposals and contracts.
  • Coordinates work efforts and reviews of work performed by project team. Supervises and mentors team to overall project objectives.
  • Oversees project staffing with departments, offices and divisions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

This position is responsible for oversight and management of the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) maintenance program in Tallahassee, FL. The individual will manage operations of the warehouse and maintenance yard, including operation of equipment, inventory tracking, equipment and facility maintenance, and other tasks as assigned.

The individual must be able to travel and is expected to be responsive after hours, on weekends, and during emergency events. Individual will be based in Tallahassee, FL but expected travel is up to 50%. Travel is expected during emergency response events.
