NHC HealthCare Milan is seeking a dependable Maintenance Assistant to keep our Milan, TN campus safe, clean, and well-maintained. You will support building systems, perform routine repairs, and assist with grounds care as part of a collaborative team dedicated to patient care.

The role emphasizes practical problem solving, attention to safety, and the ability to follow preventive maintenance plans. Schedule is full-time with potential on-call needs.

Qualifications

• HVAC knowledge is a plus and able to read basic technical manuals.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Dependable, professional, and respectful interaction with patients and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general building, equipment, and grounds maintenance.
• Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance as assigned.
• Assist with light grounds care, cleaning, and upkeep of the property.
• Inspect property and equipment for safety concerns and report needed repairs.
• Help maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other building systems as appropriate to experience and training.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to minimize disruption to patient care.
• Assist with moving furniture, equipment, supplies, and incoming or outgoing freight as needed.
• Properly use and care for maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Respond to maintenance needs and emergencies as directed.
