Job summary

Jared Jewelers is seeking a Maintenance/Porter to ensure a clean, safe, and inviting environment for customers and associates. You will handle general maintenance inside and outside the store, maintain cleanliness of sales floors and restrooms, and support the team in keeping the storefront attractive and functional.

The role requires a willingness to work as part of a team, basic carpentry and tool-use skills, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Genuine desire to service customers and keep stores orderly.
• Positive attitude and ability to work as a team.
• Moderate interpersonal and communication skills needed.
• Ability to use hand and power tools, basic carpentry.
• Visual and auditory skills; capable of lifting at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Performs all general maintenance, inside and outside the store.
• Maintains sales floor appearance by sweeping spills and debris.
• Keeps glass windows/doors clean and free of spots.
• Cleans and maintains public restrooms on schedule.
• Maintains break room in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Maintains outside store appearance and trash containers.
• Clears snow, slush, or ice from entrance area.
• Monitors maintenance by contracted vendors.
• Follows company guidelines for ETS usage and other duties.
