We are currently seeking a dependable, hardworking Porter / Groundskeeper to join our maintenance team at an apartment community in Tavares, Florida.

What You'll Do

• As a Porter / Groundskeeper, you'll work closely with the property management and maintenance teams to maintain the appearance, cleanliness, and overall condition of the community.
• Maintain property grounds and help ensure the community remains clean, attractive, and welcoming.
• Inspect and clean common areas throughout the community.
• Clean and maintain hallways, stairways, breezeways, entrances, and other shared spaces.
• Pick up litter and debris throughout the property and exterior grounds.
• Maintain the property's trash and compactor areas and help ensure waste is handled appropriately.
• Assist with keeping dumpster and trash collection areas clean and organized.
• Support the maintenance team with day-to-day property needs and projects.
• Assist with light groundskeeping and exterior property upkeep as needed.
• Identify and promptly report maintenance concerns, property damage, safety hazards, or unusual conditions.
• Assist with preparing common areas and exterior spaces for inspections, resident events, or property visits.
• Use company equipment, tools, and supplies safely and responsibly.
• Provide courteous and professional service when interacting with residents, vendors, and team members.
• Follow Cagan safety practices, policies, and community standards.
• Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support the operational needs of the community.

Schedule

• Full-time
• 8-hour shifts
• Primarily Monday through Friday
• Weekends as needed
• On-call or schedule flexibility may be required based on community needs

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ year of related multifamily, apartment, groundskeeping, porter, janitorial, maintenance, or property experience preferred.
• Previous apartment community experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify areas requiring attention.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team.
• Professional and respectful communication with residents and coworkers.
• Ability to follow instructions, prioritize assignments, and complete work efficiently.
• Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in varying Florida weather conditions.
• Ability to safely use basic maintenance, cleaning, and groundskeeping equipment.
